I Am the Resurrection

Name Date

Read the Story

Mary and Martha sent word to Jesus that Lazarus was sick. Jesus loved them, but He waited two more days. He said this sickness was for God's glory. When Jesus arrived in Bethany, Lazarus had been in the tomb four days.

Martha met Jesus. She said if He had been there, her brother would not have died. Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even if he dies. Martha said she believed He was the Christ, the Son of God. Mary came, weeping, and fell at His feet. Jesus wept.

At the tomb, Jesus told them to take away the stone. He prayed to His Father. Then He cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come out! The man who had died came out, wrapped in cloths. Many believed. But the chief priests began to plan how to kill Jesus.

Memory Verse
