Joel 2 · Grade 3
Turn with All Your Heart
Read the Story
Joel said, Blow the trumpet in Zion. The day of Yahweh was coming like a great army.
But God said that even now they could turn to Him with all their heart. Tear your heart and not your garments. God wants a sorry heart, not just a show. For he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger.
God answered His people. He sent the early rain and the latter rain. The threshing floors will be full of wheat. God promised, I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten. He would pour out His Spirit on all people.
Memory Verse
“Tear your heart and not your garments, and turn to Yahweh, your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and relents from sending calamity.”
