Job 6 · Grade 3

Kindness from a Friend

Name Date

Read the Story

Job answered Eliphaz. He wished his anguish could be weighed, because it would be heavier than the sand of the seas. He said this was why his words had been rash. He felt as if arrows of the Almighty were within him.

Job said he was so weak he wanted his life to end. But he took comfort that he had not denied the words of the Holy One. He said that to him who is ready to faint, kindness should be shown from his friend.

Job said his friends were like brooks that vanish in the dry season. Caravans looked for water, but they were disappointed. Job said, Teach me, and I will hold my peace. Cause me to understand my error. He said his cause was righteous.

Memory Verse

“To him who is ready to faint, kindness should be shown from his friend; even to him who forsakes the fear of the Almighty.
