Job 40 · Grade 4
Will You Condemn Me?
Read and Think
Yahweh asked Job, Shall he who argues contend with the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer it. In his pain Job had said God was treating him unfairly. Now God gave him a chance to speak.
Job answered, Behold, I am of small account. What will I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth. I have spoken once, and I will not answer; Yes, twice, but I will proceed no further. Job was humbled when he faced the living God.
God spoke again out of the whirlwind. Will you even annul my judgment? Will you condemn me, that you may be justified? Job had defended himself by blaming God. God showed Job that only He can rule the world. Then God pointed to behemoth, a mighty beast. His bones are like tubes of bronze. He who made him gives him his sword.
