Job 40 · Grade 3
I Lay My Hand on My Mouth
Read the Story
Yahweh asked Job, Shall he who argues contend with the Almighty? Job had said many things about God. Now he had to answer.
Job said, Behold, I am of small account. What will I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth. Job said he had spoken before, but he would say no more.
God spoke again. He asked, Will you condemn me, that you may be justified? Then He said, See now behemoth, which I made as well as you. He eats grass as an ox. Behemoth is very strong, but God made him.
