Job 35 · Grade 3

Where Is God My Maker?

Name Date

Read the Story

Elihu said, Look to the skies, and see. See the skies, which are higher than you. He said that Job's sin could not hurt God, and Job's goodness could not add to God.

Elihu said that people cry out when they are hurt by others. But no one says, Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night?

Elihu said God will not hear an empty cry. He told Job, The cause is before him, and you wait for him! Elihu was saying that God knows about Job's case. Job needed to wait for God. Elihu said some true things about God, but he was also too harsh with Job, and God Himself has the final word.
