Job 27 · Grade 4
Integrity Until I Die
Read and Think
Job declared that as long as he lived, his lips would not speak unrighteousness and his tongue would not utter deceit. Far be it from me that I should justify you, he told his friends. He refused to confess sins he had not done just to end the argument.
Job said, Until I die I will not put away my integrity from me. I hold fast to my righteousness, and will not let it go. My heart will not reproach me so long as I live. Job's conscience was clear before God.
Job then said that the godless have no real hope. Will God hear his cry when trouble comes on him? Will he delight himself in the Almighty? Job agreed that God brings judgment on the wicked. The wicked man lies down rich, but he opens his eyes and his wealth is gone.
