Read the Story

Job asked, How long will you torment me, and crush me with words? He said, You have reproached me ten times. Job felt that God had walled up his way so that he could not pass.

Job said his relatives had gone away and his familiar friends had forgotten him. He begged, Have pity on me. Have pity on me, you my friends, for the hand of God has touched me.

Job said, Oh that my words were now written! Oh that they were inscribed in a book! Then he said, But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives. In the end, he will stand upon the earth. God answered Job's wish, because his words are now written in the Bible.
