Job 16 · Grade 3

Miserable Comforters

Name Date

Read the Story

Job said, I have heard many such things. You are all miserable comforters! He said that if they were in his place, he could shake his head at them. But he would strengthen them with his mouth instead.

Job said, Though I speak, my grief is not subsided. He felt worn out. He felt that God had turned against him and that people mocked him.

Then Job said, Even now, behold, my witness is in heaven. He who vouches for me is on high. His friends scoffed, but his eyes poured out tears to God. In the New Testament, Hebrews 7:25 says Jesus lives forever to make intercession for those who draw near to God.
