Job 15 · Grade 3
Are You the First Man?
Read the Story
Eliphaz spoke again. He said, Your own mouth condemns you, and not I. He said Job did away with the fear of God.
Eliphaz asked, Are you the first man who was born? Have you heard the secret counsel of God? He asked, Are the consolations of God too small for you, even the word that is gentle toward you?
Eliphaz said the wicked man has a sound of terrors in his ears. He will shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and will cast off his flower as the olive tree. Eliphaz meant that Job was wicked. God later said the friends had not spoken what was right.
