Job 14 · Grade 2

Hope for a Tree

Name Date

Read the Story

Job said people live only a short time. He said they grow up like a flower and then are cut down.

Job said there is hope for a tree. If it is cut down, it can sprout again. It needs only the scent of water to grow.

Job asked if a man dies, will he live again? He said God would call, and he would answer. In the New Testament, Jesus rose from the dead. He gives hope that we will live again too.

Memory Verse

“For there is hope for a tree if it is cut down, that it will sprout again, that the tender branch of it will not cease.
