Jeremiah 5 · Grade 3
One Who Seeks Truth
Read the Story
God told Jeremiah to run through the streets of Jerusalem. He was to look for one person who did justly and sought truth. If he found one, God would pardon the city.
Jeremiah thought maybe the poor people did not know God's way. So he went to the great men. But they had also broken away from God. Their faces were harder than a rock.
God reminded the people that he set the sand as a border for the sea. The waves roar, but they cannot pass it. God also gives the rain in its season. But the people did not stop to fear him. Even so, God said he would not make a full end of them.
Memory Verse
““Run back and forth through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in its wide places, if you can find a man, if there is anyone who does justly, who seeks truth, then I will pardon her.”
