Jeremiah 5 · Grade 2

Is There One?

Name Date

Read the Story

God told Jeremiah to look through the streets. Could he find one person who did what was right? Could he find one who told the truth?

The people would not listen. God reminded them that he made the sea. He put sand to stop the waves. He gave them rain. He gave them food. God wanted them to love and respect him.

Memory Verse

“Don’t you fear me?’ says Yahweh; ‘Won’t you tremble at my presence, who have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it can’t pass it? Though its waves toss themselves, yet they can’t prevail. Though they roar, they still can’t pass over it.’”

  • Why is it hard to listen to God sometimes?
