Jeremiah 30 · Grade 3
A Book of Comfort
Read the Story
God told Jeremiah to write all his words in a book. God said the days were coming when he would bring his people Israel and Judah back to their land.
There would be a time of trouble, but Jacob would be saved out of it. God told them not to be afraid or dismayed. He would save them from far away. Jacob will return, and will be quiet and at ease.
God promised to restore health to his people and heal their wounds. Other people had called Zion an outcast, but God had not forgotten her. The city would be built again. Thanksgiving and joyful voices would come from it. God said they would be his people, and he would be their God.
Memory Verse
“For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds,” says Yahweh, “because they have called you an outcast, saying, ‘It is Zion, whom no man seeks after.’””
