Jeremiah 12 · Grade 3

Running with Horses

Name Date

Read the Story

Jeremiah told God that God is always right. Then he asked a hard question. Why do wicked people seem to do well? They talked about God, but their hearts were far from him.

God answered with a picture. If running with people on foot made Jeremiah tired, how could he run with horses? Harder days were coming, and God would make Jeremiah strong enough.

God was sad about his land. Many shepherds had ruined his vineyard. But God made a promise. After the hard times, he would return and have compassion. He would bring every man to his heritage and to his land.

Memory Verse

“It will happen that after I have plucked them up, I will return and have compassion on them. I will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land.”
