Jeremiah 10 · Grade 3
The True God
Read the Story
God told his people not to learn the way of the nations. Some nations cut down a tree and made an idol from it. They covered it with silver and gold. They used nails and hammers so it would not fall over.
God said idols are like a carved post. They cannot speak. They must be carried because they cannot move. There is no reason to be afraid of them.
But Yahweh is the true God. He is the living God and an everlasting King. God made the earth by his power. When he speaks, the waters in the heavens roar and he sends the rain. Jeremiah said there is no one like you, Yahweh.
Memory Verse
“God has made the earth by his power. He has established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding has he stretched out the heavens.”
