Hosea 6 · Grade 3

Like the Morning Dew

Name Date

Read the Story

The people said, Come! Let's return to Yahweh. They said God would heal them. They said, Let's press on to know Yahweh. He would come to them like the rain.

But God knew their hearts. He said their love was like a morning cloud, and like the dew that disappears early. They made promises, but they did not keep them.

God told them what He really wanted. For I desire mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. God wanted kind hearts and real love for Him.

Memory Verse

“For I desire mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.”
