Hosea 10 · Grade 3
A Divided Heart
Read the Story
Israel is a luxuriant vine that produces his fruit. But the more they had, the more altars they built for idols. Their heart is divided. They loved God a little, and idols a lot.
They made promises, but they did not keep them. Their calf idols would be carried away. Samaria and her king float away like a twig on the water.
God called them to a new start. Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap according to kindness. Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek Yahweh. Hard ground must be broken before seeds can grow.
Memory Verse
“Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap according to kindness. Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek Yahweh, until he comes and rains righteousness on you.”
