Melchizedek was a king and a priest. He met Abraham and blessed him. His name means king of righteousness. He was king of Salem, which means king of peace.

Jesus is a priest like Melchizedek. Other priests grew old and died. But Jesus lives forever. He always prays for those who come to God through him.
