Hebrews 13 · Grade 4
The Same Yesterday, Today, and Forever
Read and Think
Hebrews 13 gathers short instructions for daily life. Let brotherly love continue. Show hospitality to strangers, for some have entertained angels without knowing it. Remember those in bonds as though you were bound with them. Let marriage be held in honor among all.
Be free from the love of money and content with such things as you have. God has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you. So believers can say with courage, The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. Readers should remember their leaders and imitate their faith.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He suffered outside the gate, and believers go out to him, for here we have no lasting city. They offer a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of lips that confess his name. They do good and share. The letter ends with a prayer to the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep.
