Genesis 46 · Grade 2
Jacob Sees Joseph
Read the Story
Jacob packed up his whole family to go to Egypt. On the way, he stopped to worship God. That night God told Jacob not to be afraid to go to Egypt. God would go with him and make his family a great nation there.
Jacob's family was big. There were seventy people in Jacob's family in Egypt, counting Joseph and his sons.
Joseph rode in his chariot to meet his father. When Joseph saw Jacob, he hugged him and cried for a long time. Jacob was so glad to see Joseph's face and know he was alive.
Memory Verse
“He said, “I am God, the God of your father. Don’t be afraid to go down into Egypt, for there I will make of you a great nation.”
