Genesis 37 · Grade 2
Joseph Is Sold
Read the Story
Jacob loved his son Joseph very much. He gave Joseph a beautiful coat. Joseph's brothers were jealous. They were not kind to him.
Joseph had dreams. In one dream, his brothers' bundles of grain bowed down to his bundle. When he told them, they were even more angry.
One day Joseph went to find his brothers in the fields. They threw him into an empty pit. Then they sold him to traders going to Egypt. They told their father that Joseph was gone. Jacob was very sad. But God was still with Joseph.
Memory Verse
“Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age, and he made him a tunic of many colors.”
