Genesis 24 · Grade 3
The Lord Led the Way
Read the Story
Abraham was old. He made his oldest servant promise to find a wife for Isaac from among his relatives, not from the Canaanites. Abraham said, He will send his angel before you.
The servant traveled to the city of Nahor with ten camels. At the well he prayed, Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, please give me success today. He asked that the young woman who offered water to his camels would be the one. Before he finished speaking, Rebekah came, and she did just that.
The servant bowed and worshiped the Lord, saying, Blessed be Yahweh. He told Rebekah's family everything. Her brother Laban and her father agreed, saying, The thing proceeds from Yahweh. Rebekah was asked, Will you go? She said, I will go. Isaac married Rebekah, and he loved her.
Memory Verse
“He said, “Blessed be Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken his loving kindness and his truth toward my master. As for me, Yahweh has led me on the way to the house of my master’s relatives.””
