When Abram was 99 years old, God appeared to him. God said, I am God Almighty. Walk before me and be blameless.

God gave Abram a new name: Abraham. It means father of many. God gave Sarai a new name too: Sarah. God said Sarah would have a son, and kings would come from her family.

Abraham laughed. How could a 100-year-old man and a 90-year-old woman have a baby? But God said Sarah would have a son next year, and they should name him Isaac. God always does what He says.
