Galatians 4 · Grade 3
No Longer a Servant
Read the Story
Paul said a young heir is like a servant until he grows up. People were like that before Jesus came. But when the time was right, God sent His Son. Jesus set people free so they could be God's children.
God sent the Spirit of His Son into His children's hearts. The Spirit cries out, Abba, Father! Paul wrote, So you are no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Paul reminded the Galatians how kindly they treated him when he was sick. He loved them like a parent. He was sad that they were turning back to old rules. He wanted Christ to be formed in them.
Memory Verse
“So you are no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”
