Ezekiel 41 · Grade 4
Cherubim and Palm Trees
Read and Think
Ezekiel says the man brought him to the temple and measured the porch, the nave, and the inner room. The inner room was twenty cubits square. The man told him that it was the most holy place. Only the man went inside, while Ezekiel watched.
Around the temple were side rooms in three stories, thirty rooms in each story. The rooms grew wider as they went up. A raised base surrounded the temple, and a separate building stood to the west.
Inside, the walls were paneled with wood. Carvings of cherubim and palm trees covered the walls from the ground to above the door. Each cherub had two faces, the face of a man and the face of a young lion. Before the holy place stood a wooden altar, the table before Yahweh.
