Ezekiel 39 · Grade 4
I Will Have Mercy
Read and Think
God continued his word against Gog. He would strike the bow from Gog's hand and bring his armies down on the mountains of Israel. God said he would make his holy name known among Israel and would not let it be dishonored any more.
After the victory, the people of Israel would burn the enemy's weapons for seven years. They would spend seven months cleansing the land. All the nations would see God's glory and his justice.
Then God promised to bring back the captives and have mercy on the whole house of Israel. The nations would understand that Israel went into exile because of sin, not because God was weak. God said he would not hide his face from them any more, because he had poured out his Spirit on them.
