Ezekiel 38 · Grade 4
Like a Storm
Read and Think
God told Ezekiel to prophesy against Gog, of the land of Magog, prince of Meshech and Tubal. In the latter years, after Israel had come home and was living securely, Gog would gather a great alliance from the far north and from Persia, Cush, and Put.
Gog would come like a storm and like a cloud covering the land. He would plan to attack unwalled villages and seize plunder. But God said he himself was bringing Gog, so that the nations would know him when he showed himself holy.
On that day there would be a great shaking in the land of Israel. God would defeat Gog with earthquake, rain, and hailstones. God says: I will magnify myself and sanctify myself, and I will make myself known in the eyes of many nations.

God's people were living in towns with no walls, yet God protected them. What does this teach about where true safety comes from?
God was in control even when Gog thought he was making his own plans. How does that bring comfort?
