Ezekiel 31 · Grade 3
Like a Cedar of Lebanon
Read the Story
God asked Pharaoh who he was like in his greatness. Then God told about Assyria. It was like a great cedar tree in Lebanon.
The tree grew tall because its roots were by many waters. Birds nested in its branches. Nations lived in its shade. Even the trees of Eden envied it.
But the tree became proud of its height. So God let it be cut down. The nations shook when it fell. God said Pharaoh would fall the same way.
Memory Verse
“Thus it was beautiful in its greatness, in the length of its branches; for its root was by many waters.”
