Ezekiel 28 · Grade 3

Lifted Up by Pride

Name Date

Read the Story

The king of Tyre was very wise and very rich. His heart was lifted up. He said he was a god. But God said he was a man and not God.

God told Ezekiel to sing a sad song about the king. He had been full of wisdom and beauty, with many precious stones. But his heart became proud because of his beauty, so God brought him down.

Then God gave a happy promise. He would gather Israel from the nations. They would live safely in their land, build houses, and plant vineyards.

Memory Verse

“By your wisdom and by your understanding you have gotten yourself riches, and have gotten gold and silver into your treasuries.”

Ezekiel 28:4 (WEB)
