Ezekiel 24 · Grade 3

A Sign for the People

Name Date

Read the Story

In the ninth year, God told Ezekiel to write the name of the day. That same day, the king of Babylon drew close to Jerusalem. God knew it, though Ezekiel was far away.

God told Ezekiel that his dear wife would soon die. In the evening she died, and Ezekiel was very sad. God told him not to mourn in the usual way, as a sign to the people.

The people asked Ezekiel what this meant. He told them God's temple would be taken away. Ezekiel would be a sign to them, and they would know that he is Yahweh.

Memory Verse
