Ezekiel 18 · Grade 3
Make a New Heart
Read the Story
The people had a proverb. They said the fathers ate sour grapes, but the children's teeth were set on edge. They meant they were punished for their parents' sins.
God said all souls belong to him. Each person is responsible for his own choices. A just man gives bread to the hungry and covers the naked with clothes.
God has no pleasure in the death of anyone. If a wicked man turns from his sins and does what is right, he will live. God told his people to make a new heart and turn and live.
Memory Verse
“For I have no pleasure in the death of him who dies,” says the Lord Yahweh. “Therefore turn yourselves, and live!”
