Ezekiel 16 · Grade 3
God's Everlasting Covenant
Read the Story
God gave Ezekiel a picture-story about Jerusalem. In the story, Jerusalem was like a baby left in an open field. No one cared for her.
God passed by and said to her, Live! He washed her with water and anointed her with oil. He clothed her with fine linen and put a beautiful crown on her head.
But she trusted in her beauty instead of God. She gave his gifts to idols and turned away from him. Yet God said he would remember his covenant and establish an everlasting covenant with her.
Memory Verse
“Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you.”
