Ezekiel Sees God's Glory
Read the Story
Ezekiel the priest lived among the captives by the river Chebar. The heavens were opened, and Ezekiel says he saw visions of God. A stormy wind came from the north with a great cloud and bright fire.
In the middle he saw four living creatures. Each one had four faces and four wings. They went straight forward and did not turn. Beside each one was a wheel, like a wheel within a wheel. Where the spirit went, they went.
Above them was something like a throne, as blue as a sapphire stone. All around was a brightness like a rainbow in the clouds. Ezekiel says this was the likeness of Yahweh's glory. When he saw it, he fell on his face.
Memory Verse
“As the appearance of the rainbow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around. This was the appearance of the likeness of Yahweh’s glory. When I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of one that spoke.”
