Exodus 7 · Grade 2
The River Turns Red
Read the Story
Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh. Aaron threw down his rod, and it became a snake. Pharaoh's magicians made their rods turn into snakes too. But Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods! Pharaoh still would not listen.
God told Moses to meet Pharaoh at the river. Aaron held out his rod and hit the water. All the water in the river turned to blood!
The fish died, and no one could drink the water. This was the first plague. A plague is a big trouble sent by God. Pharaoh still would not let God's people go. His heart was hard.
Memory Verse
“The Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh when I stretch out my hand on Egypt, and bring the children of Israel out from among them.””
