Exodus 5 · Grade 2
Pharaoh Says No
Read the Story
Moses and Aaron went to see Pharaoh. They told Pharaoh that God said to let his people go. Pharaoh said he did not know God and would not let Israel go.
Pharaoh got angry. He said not to give the slaves straw to make bricks. They had to find their own straw, but still make just as many bricks!
The work got much harder. The people were upset with Moses and Aaron. Moses felt sad. He went and talked to God about it. Moses knew he could bring his troubles to God.
Memory Verse
“Afterward Moses and Aaron came, and said to Pharaoh, “This is what Yahweh, the God of Israel, says, ‘Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.’””
