Exodus 40 · Grade 4
God Dwells with His People
Read and Think
Exodus began with Israel as slaves in Egypt. It ends with God living among them. God rescued His people so they could know Him and worship Him.
Moses could not enter because God's glory was so great. God is holy and awesome. Yet He chose to live among His people.
In the New Testament, John 1:14 says that the Word became flesh and lived among us. The word dwelt means tabernacled. Christians have read this as a picture of Jesus, God who came to live with us.
