Exodus 31 · Grade 3
Filled with God's Spirit
Read the Story
God told Moses he had called Bezalel by name, from the tribe of Judah. He said, I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all kinds of workmanship. Bezalel could design things in gold, silver and bronze. He could cut stones and carve wood.
God also chose Oholiab from the tribe of Dan to help him. God put wisdom in the hearts of all the skilled workers. They would make the tent, the ark, the table, the lampstand, the altars, the basin, the priests' clothes, the oil and the incense, just as God commanded.
God said, Most certainly you shall keep my Sabbaths; for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations. He reminded them that in six days he made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested. When God finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, He gave him two tablets of stone. They were written with the finger of God.
