Exodus 27 · Grade 3
One Way In
Read the Story
God told Moses to make the altar of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits wide, with a horn on each corner, covered with bronze. It had pots, shovels, basins and a bronze grate. Poles went through rings so the priests could carry it. It was hollow, made just as God showed Moses.
God said, Make the court of the tabernacle. Hangings of fine white linen hung from pillars all around it. The court was one hundred cubits long and fifty cubits wide. On the east side was the gate. Its screen was made of blue, purple and scarlet yarn.
God told Moses to have the people bring pure olive oil for the light, so the lamp would burn always. Aaron and his sons would keep it in order from evening to morning before the Lord. This would be a rule forever for Israel.
Memory Verse
““You shall command the children of Israel, that they bring to you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually.”
