Rules for Being Fair

Read the Story

God gave Moses more rules for His people. These rules showed how to obey the Ten Commandments every day. They taught people to be fair and kind.

Some rules were about workers called servants. A Hebrew servant could work six years. In the seventh year, he could go free. God did not want anyone to be treated badly forever.

Other rules were about keeping people safe. If someone hurt another person, he had to pay for the doctor and the time lost. If a man owned an ox that might hurt people, he had to keep it in. God cares about every person.
