Esther 7 · Grade 3
The Truth Comes Out
Read the Story
The king and Haman came to Esther's second feast. The king asked again what she wanted. He would give her up to half of his kingdom. Esther asked the king to spare her life and the lives of her people. She said they had been sold to be destroyed.
The king asked who had dared to do this. Esther said the enemy was this wicked Haman. Haman was afraid before the king and the queen. The king got up in anger. He went out into the palace garden.
Haman stayed to beg Queen Esther for his life. When the king came back, he was even more angry. A servant told the king about Haman's evil plan for Mordecai. The king had Haman punished. Then the king's anger went away. Christians believe God protected His people through Esther's courage.
Memory Verse
“Then King Ahasuerus said to Esther the queen, “Who is he, and where is he who dared presume in his heart to do so?””
