Esther 6 · Grade 2
A Night with No Sleep
Read the Story
One night the king could not sleep. He asked for his book to be read. The book told how Mordecai saved the king. The king asked what was done for him. Nothing was done!
Just then Haman came in. The king asked him what to do for a man the king wants to honor. Haman thought the king meant him! He said to give the man the king's robe and horse.
The king told Haman to do this for Mordecai! So Haman had to lead Mordecai through the city on the king's horse. Mordecai was honored. Christians believe God was at work.
Memory Verse
“On that night, the king couldn’t sleep. He commanded the book of records of the chronicles to be brought, and they were read to the king.”
