Esther 10 · Grade 3

Seeking the Good

Name Date

Read the Story

King Ahasuerus made the land pay tribute. He even made the islands of the sea pay. All his great acts are written in the book of the kings of Media and Persia.

That book also tells how great Mordecai became. The king raised him up. Mordecai was second only to the king. He was great among the Jews. Many of his people loved him.

Mordecai used his power well. He sought the good of his people. He spoke peace to all of them. The story that began with danger ends with peace. Christians believe God kept His promise to care for His people.

Memory Verse

“For Mordecai the Jew was next to King Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews and accepted by the multitude of his brothers, seeking the good of his people and speaking peace to all his descendants.”
