Deuteronomy 4 · Grade 2
God Spoke from the Fire
Read the Story
Moses told the people to obey God's laws. He said, Do not add to them. Do not take any away. That is how to be wise.
He said, Remember the day at the mountain. The mountain was on fire. God spoke from the fire. The people heard His voice, but they did not see Him. So they must not make an idol to pray to.
Moses said God is near when we call to Him. God is kind. If you seek Him with all your heart, you will find Him. There is no other God.
Memory Verse
“For Yahweh your God is a merciful God. He will not fail you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore to them.”
