Deuteronomy 32 · Grade 3
The Rock and the Eagle
Read the Story
Moses spoke a song so Israel would remember God. He called heaven and earth to listen. God is the Rock. His work is perfect. He is a God of faithfulness who does no wrong.
God found Israel in a desert land and kept him as the apple of His eye. Like an eagle stirring up her nest, He spread His wings and carried them. God alone led them, with no foreign god.
But Israel grew fat and forgot the Rock of their salvation. They chased other gods, and God warned of judgment. Yet He would have compassion on His servants. Moses said God's words were their life (32:47). Then God told Moses to climb Mount Nebo to see the land.
Memory Verse
“He found him in a desert land, in the waste howling wilderness. He surrounded him. He cared for him. He kept him as the apple of his eye.”
