Deuteronomy 21 · Grade 2

Fair and Forgiven

Name Date

Read the Story

Sometimes a man was found dead in a field. No one knew who did it. The leaders of the closest town came. They washed their hands and said, We did not do this. Lord, forgive Your people.

God also said a father must be fair. He must give his first son the part that is his. He must not take it away.

When a man died for a crime, his body must be buried the same day. Paul later wrote that Jesus took our curse (Galatians 3:13).

Memory Verse

“So you shall put away the innocent blood from among you, when you shall do that which is right in Yahweh’s eyes.”
