Deuteronomy 17 · Grade 2
A King Who Reads
Read the Story
God said, Give Me your best. Do not give Me a sick animal. If someone does wrong, two or three people must tell what they saw. One is not enough.
If a case is too hard, go to the priests and the judge. Do what they say.
One day you may want a king. God will choose him. He must not get lots of horses, wives, or gold. He must write a copy of God's law. He will read it every day. Then he will not think he is better than others.
Memory Verse
“It shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write himself a copy of this law in a book, out of that which is before the Levitical priests.”
