Daniel 4 · Grade 2
God Is the King
Read the Story
King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream about a tall tree. Birds lived in its branches. Then a voice said to cut the tree down. Only the stump was left.
Daniel told the king what the dream meant. The tree was the king. God wanted him to know that God rules. But the king became proud. He said he built great Babylon by his own power. Then he had to live with the animals for a time. When he looked up to heaven, God made him well. The king praised God, the King of heaven.
Memory Verse
“How great are his signs! How mighty are his wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. His dominion is from generation to generation.”
