Daniel 1 · Grade 3
A Ten-Day Test
Read the Story
The king of Babylon took young men from Judah to serve him. They had to learn a new language. Daniel and his three friends were among them. They were given new names. Daniel's new name was Belteshazzar.
But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the king's delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank. God made the man in charge kind to Daniel. Daniel said, Test your servants, I beg you, ten days; and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink.
After ten days, their faces looked better than the faces of the others. God gave them knowledge and skill. The king found them ten times better than all his wise men.
Memory Verse
