2 Samuel 7 · Grade 2
A House for David
Read the Story
David lived in a nice house. But God's ark was in a tent. David said, I want to build God a house.
That night God spoke to Nathan. God said, I took David from the sheep. I made him king. Now I will make a house for David. God meant a family. One of David's sons would be king. His kingdom would last forever.
David went in and sat before God. He said, Who am I? God, You are great. There is no one like You. In the New Testament, Luke 1:32 says God will give Jesus the throne of his father David.
Memory Verse
“Therefore you are great, Yahweh God. For there is no one like you, neither is there any God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.”
